NFR COMPETITOR NEWS

There will be a Junior NFR performance on Thursday at 1pm and on Friday at 10 am and 1 pm.

Posted prize money for the junior events will be $600 and carry an entry fee of $71.50. The full entry fee must be paid prior to the first round and there will be no refunds.

There will be a performance of the open NFR on Thursday and Friday at 6pm at QSEC, Saturday at 4pm in the Showgrounds Venue and Sunday at 11am back at QSEC.

Posted prize money for the eight events will be $6,250 and carry an entry fee of $484. The full entry fee must be paid prior to the first round and there will be no refunds. Bucking Stock of the Year votes must be completed and lodged to the NFR Secretary prior to the first round. ($20 fine applies for non-compliance.) All contestants must make themselves available for media, marketing and promotional opportunities prior to and during the NFR.

Please note that as a competitor you do not have to pay to get into the venue and there will be a seat in the stands for you and your companion. You will be provided with 1 pass for yourself and 1 pass for your companion. Should you lose this pass you may have to pay for a replacement pass. Camping and stables will be on site for those that have prebooked.

Group event photos will be taken and full western attire is required, no exceptions. Photos will be 1 hour before the first performance on Thursday (Juniors 12pm & Seniors 5pm)

A $20 fine will be issued if you do not show up for your photo/s.

Anyone wishing to work their horses in the arena can do so on Thursday Juniors 10.30am-11.30am seniors 2pm-3.30pm.

There will be no prize money paid out at the Finals, all prize money will be paid through the APRA head office via direct deposit (if you prefer this method and haven’t provided your bank details to head office please do so prior to the NFR) or by cheque in the mail.

Entry fees are payable to APRA Head Office by Tuesday 29th via direct deposit with name and membership number in the description or via credit card which will be exempt from the merchant fee.  

The NFR Secretary’s Office will be open to pay your entry fees between 8.30am and 10:30am on Thursday 1st May if you have not paid to Head Office.

A compulsory competitor’s briefing will be held at 9.30am on Thursday 1st May outside the secretary’s office.

NFR Vest Orders will be taken at the Secretary’s Office between 8:30am to 10:30am on Thursday 1st May. There will be samples to try on for sizing.

Strictly no orders will be taken after Friday 9th May and full payment must be made on ordering.

Presentation of Australian Champions will be immediately after the final round on Sunday. Presentations of Pro Tour and Rookie winners will be announced at the Competitors meeting.
