MISS RODEO AUSTRALIA
The last few months have been a whirlwind of truly unbelievable experiences that I could only ever dream of and I would like to thank the APRA once again for allowing me to enjoy all of these.
Warwick Rodeo was my last stop before heading overseas where I proudly wore the MRA crown in a week long schedule filled with visits to schools, nursing homes and hospitals along side the Warwick Rodeo Queen Ella Waugh and the numerous princesses as well as an information session held at the APRA Head Office to help prepare the girls for what was in store.
Then it was on a plane bound for Canada. The very next morning it was straight to work with appearances at the Rodeo Roundup street fair with Miss Rodeo Canada 2012 Arleta Bowhay. The week that followed was filled with appearances, interviews and sponsor visits at the Canadian National Finals and the numerous functions surrounding the Miss Rodeo Canada pageant.
The next stop was Las Vegas for the Wrangler National Finals World Championship Rodeo and Miss Rodeo America pageant. The 11 days that followed were packed with appearances, interviews, meet and greets and autograph signings at the numerous cowboy Christmas locations, WNFR and Miss Rodeo America functions.
The one experience that I will forever remember and cherish was the experience of representing Australia in the Grand Entry. Whilst in Vegas I was approached and offered sponsorship for Petrol Jeans.
Once back on Australian soil it was straight into the Christmas run with the first stop being Myrtleford on Boxing Day followed by Carrieton Rodeo in South Australia on the 29th December 2012. After having car trouble and missing Yarrawonga the next rodeo on the list was Tumbarumba on New Years Day followed by Wangaratta on the 5th where I mingled with the crowd, signed autographs, visited VIP’s, took part in the grand entries and proudly flew the Australian flag. At this point I had numerous girls contacting me regarding the 2013 Quest. With Melissa Francis taking the title of Miss Rodeo Carrieton and Danielle Quinsee the
first Miss Rodeo Wangaratta and many more emails coming through expressing interest I am excited to see who the next lucky girl will be.
Once again thankyou so very much for giving me the opportunity to represent the APRA and the sport of Australian Rodeo not only thought Australia but also on an International level, it is an experience that I will cherish forever.
