THE Gard siblings from Table Top near Albury are following the rodeo road and coming up trumps.

The trio are led by Stephanie who has won the past two breakaway roping titles in the Australian Professional Rodeo Association.

After competing in the richest rodeo in the APRA at Mt Isa last month, the Siblings headed to the Northern Territory to record seven placings between them at Katherine and Darwin.

Stephanie led the way with a breakaway roping win at Katherine and fourth in barrel racing in Darwin.

Sister Ellie won the junior barrel races at Katherine and Darwin and was fourth in junior breakaway roping at Darwin.

Their brother Ben won the second-division bull ride at Katherine when he scored 76 in an event where he was the only rider to make time and record a score. He won the same event at Darwin with 68.

Stephanie will be heading to the Warwick Rodeo Australian Championships on October 22-25 in quest of a third successive breakaway roping title. She has also qualified 13th for the barrel race so has the chance to go for two titles and the all around.

Some of her toughest opposition will come from Moree cowgirl Wendy Caban who has the most title wins in the past eight years in the APRA.

APRA Program: October 4 Marrabel (SA); October 10 Rockhampton (Qld); October 21 Hobart Show Bulls and Barrels (Tas); October 22-25 Warwick Rodeo Australian Championships (Qld)..
