Rodeo Action Hits South East Queensland

Rodeo action on the Australian Professional Rodeo Association calendar moves to South East Queensland with Stanthorpe Bulls and Barrels Rodeo on Friday, 11th May 2018 at 6:30pm.

Kyle Maskiell from Longford, Tasmania is currently sitting in 3rd position in the APRA Bull Riding standings and is entered at Stanthorpe in a bid hit that number one spot on the standings ladder. Maskiell will be a favourite to watch on Friday night in the Bull Ride.

2016 Australian All Around Cowgirl and Barrel Racing Champion Shianne O’Donoghue-Kent will make the trip to Stanthorpe since moving to just over the border in Northern NSW from Bunyip, Victoria. Shianne is sitting in 9th position in the standings and will be looking to boost her position heading towards the Warwick Rodeo APRA National Finals, 25-28 October 2018.

With the 2018 Junior Season all wrapped up the juniors are looking at their positon in the standings to see if they are making the trip to Emerald (QLD) for the Junior National Finals being held on 29-30 of June 2018.

Kobe Miller of Warwick, QLD is currently leading the Junior High Point Cowboy and Junior Team Roping Heeler standings. Ellysa Kenny of Emerald, QLD is leading the Junior High Point Cowgirl, Junior Barrel Race, Junior Breakaway Roping and the Junior Team Roping Header standings. Both competitors have a great shot at the Junior Titles with both winning last year; Miller was crowned Australian Junior Team Roping Heeler Champion and Kenny Australian Junior Breakaway Roping Champion.

Current Junior Steer Riding standings leader Toby Hale, Wakooi, NSW will be another one to watch at the Junior National Finals this year after winning the Australian Junior Steer Riding Title last year.
