Rodeos in three states on Saturday
RODEOS at Narrandera, Whittlesea, Dubbo and Powranna will highlight a massive Saturday in the Australian Professional Rodeo Association this weekend. (February 25)
Competitors in all rodeos will be aiming for Championship Points to boost their chances of qualifying for the APRA National Finals on the last weekend in October at Warwick in Queensland.
The next major chances after this weekend for riders to give a major boost to their current Championship Points will be a string of rodeos on the Victorian long weekend in March and then in Victoria and Queensland at Easter.

Collins has drawn the Garry McPhee bull Just For Fun and Collins is on Bar None. Tyrrell has already been placed in two rough stock events at the one rodeo this year.
Three of the more recent All Around Cowgirl Champions in the APRA, Stephanie Gard, Cherie O’Donoghue and her niece Shianne O’Donoghue-Kent will compete at Narrandera.
Current APRA Breakaway Roping record holder Candy Michaelis will travel from South Australia for the rodeo while All Around Cowboys standings leader Shane Kenny will make the trip from Queensland.

In the roping, Mt Wallace cowboy Jay Marsh will be one of the riders to watch.
Cameron Southern hails from Queensland and has nominated for the Junior Steer Ride.
The rodeo is for Championship Points in the APRA. The top 15 in each event will qualify for the National Finals in Warwick on the last weekend in October.

The event is organised by Simon Cresswell from Dubbo and the bulls for each round have come from the Gill Brothers string from Upper Horton in New South Wales
