RODEO ACTION IN NORTH QUEENSLAND

This weekend on the APRA Calendar sees action in Queensland starting at Indian Wells Timed Event Rodeo Friday 27^th April starting at 10am. Indian Wells is just outside of Clermont with a total of 195 entries. The five timed events will be contested along with four junior timed events. New South Wales Rodeo Action is at Moree Show Rodeo on Friday night where the three open rough stock events and second division bull ride will be run.

Jane Willoughby from Brigalow will be one to watch in the Breakaway Roping. Jane is currently in fourth position in the standings and will be looking to boost her position for the Warwick APRA National Finals held on the last weekend of October.

On the Saturday, Clermont Rodeo is sure to have spectacular rodeo action with 8 Championship events being held starting at 5:30pm.

Springsure Cowboy Cody Angland will be on to watch heading into Clermont Rodeo on Saturday 28^th of April, after winning the Saddle Bronc at Gargett Rodeo last weekend with 81 points.

Brodie Adams currently sitting 10^th in the Bareback standings is looking for another great weekend to boost his position in the standings after placing 2^nd with a score of 68 at Gargett.

Miss Rodeo Australia Dakota Michaelis will be looking for another win after her win last weekend at Gargett Rodeo in the Barrel Race. Dakota recently moving from South Australia to Mount Charlton QLD to do the northern run before the end of the season on the 30^th of September. Dakota is currently leading the Rookie Barrel Race standings. Dakota qualified in the Barrel Race at last year’s Warwick Rodeo APRA National Finals and will be hoping to make the trip again this year.

All junior competitors will be fighting it out for a top ten finish in the standings with Clermont Rodeo being the last rodeo in the Junior season which finishes 30^th April. Junior NFR in Emerald 29-30 June.

Action at Indian Wells will start at 10am on Friday 27^th April; Moree Show Rodeo Friday 27^th starting at 5pm; Clermont Rodeo will start at 5:30pm on Saturday 28^th April.
