NOTES:
Mt Isa's 60th Rodeo!
1. Sections of the 2nd division events and all timed events will commence on Thursday morning.
2. Rodeo commences Thursday 8am, Friday 9am, Saturday and Sunday 8:30am.
3. Open bull ride, bareback and saddle bronc riding contests commence Friday night 10th August.
4. $1500 bonus to All Around Cowboy and Cowgirl. The competitor who wins the most money in 2 or more events will be the All Around. If no one wins money in 2 events it goes to the competitor who wins the most money in 1 event but competes in 2 or more events. Conditions apply: to be eligible for the All Around cash bonus competitors must complete a 20 minute autograph signing session in Fan Zones. More information will be posted at the Mt Isa Secretary’s office on Thursday and Friday prior to the rodeo.
5. Open Bareback - 1 round and final or 2 full rounds. Junior Barrel Race - 1 round & 10 in a final. Junior Steer Ride & Junior Bull Ride - 1 round and 6 in a final. All 2nd Division Events, Open Saddle Bronc and Breakaway Roping - one round and a final. Barrel Race, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping and Rope and Tie - 2 full rounds.
6. Open Bull Ride 2 full rounds plus a maximum of 12 in final

8. The Committee reserves the right to limit entries in open rough stock events. See far below for details. 2nd division Bull Ride may be limited to 80 entries.
9. Day members can only enter 2nd division, junior and ladies events.
10. No glass bottles permitted on the grounds.
11. If you are listed to participate in the Grand Entry and you do not appear or are late, the committee reserves the right to cancel you from any further competition and/or impose a $100 fine.
12. Competitors MUST wear wristbands on wrist at all times.
13. Team Ropers: Open & Over 55’s. Team entry - please have your partner’s membership number when you enter or your entry will not be accepted. Decide which partner will enter for the team and do so once only.
14. Over 40’s Bull Ride – must be a member of the Over 40’s Bull Riding Association. Enquiries to Larry Cooper 0407557514.
15. GST applies to this rodeo and is included in the entry fees.

17. Buckles and sashes will be presented in the arena immediately following the finals of each event.

21. CAMPING CONDITIONS:- Camping for competitors and their family only and will be cross referenced from the list of nominations for eligibility. No camping prior to Sunday 5th August. Camping is free however there is no power available. All those wishing to camp at Buchanan Park this year must ring the office to register by 27th July (07) 47432706. Appropriate site size will be determined by size of vehicle and number of horses. All sites must be registered. If you do not register you may not be guaranteed a spot.
22. All vehicles (including competitors) are to display a MIRRI Vehicle Pass on the left hand side dash.
23. No visitor’s vehicles are permitted in competitor camping area.
24. Dogs are to be on a leash at all times. A minimum $150.00 on the spot fine will be issued if dogs are not secure - no exceptions.
25. A ‘No Barking’ rule applies.
26. Noise levels ceased by 10.00pm each night.
27. No camp fires permitted.
28. All plug in electrical equipment that is used must have certified test tag displayed on them.
29. There will be a separate area for spectator camping called “Swag City”. See www.isarodeo.com.au for the registration form.
30. All horses in camping area inside the race track must be placed in permanent stables between the hours of 7pm to 8am Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday and 11am to 5pm Thursday.
31. No horses to be in electric fences on the outside fence of the race track between 11am and 5pm on Thursday 9th August.
32. Competitors arriving on Thursday 9th August for competition will have to park and unload their horses in the public car parking area behind the timed event box which will be closed to the public for that day.
33. Designated warmup areas and times for competitors on Thursday 9th August will be posted at the secretary’s office.
