FRIDAY MORNING
1. Open bull ride, bareback and saddle
bronc riding contest commences Friday
night 9th August following the Mardi
Gras.
2. $1500 bonus to All Around Cowboy an
Cowgirl. Conditions apply. To be eligible
for the All Around cash bonus you must
be on the Mt Isa Rodeo float during the
Mardi Gras on Friday night. Details on how
and where you register your name will be
posted at the Mt Isa secretary's office on
Thursday and Friday prior to the rodeo.
Competitors drawn in the Friday night
performance may be exempt.
3. Open Bareback 1 round and final or 2
full rounds
Junior Barrel Race1 round
Junior Steer Ride 1 round and final
4. All 2nd Division Events, Open Saddle
Bronc, Bull Ride and Breakaway Roping
are one round and a final. Barrel Race,
Steer Wrestling, Team Roping and
Rope and Tie are 2 full rounds.

6. Committee reserves the right to limit
entries in open rough stock
events. See page below for
details. 2nd division Bull Ride limited to
80 entries.
7. Day members can only enter 2nd
Division, junior and ladies events.
8. No glass bottles permitted on the
grounds.
9. If you are listed to participate in the
Grand Entry and you do not appear or
are late, the committee reserves the
right to cancel you from any further
competition and/or impose a $100 fine.
10. Competitors MUST wear wristbands
on wrist at all times.
11. Team Ropers : Team entry. Please
have your partners membership
number when you enter or your entry
will not be accepted.
12. GST applies to this rodeo and is
included in the entry fees.
13. Local Station Buckjump – First 30
nominations; entries to committee.
14. Buckles and sashes will be presented
in the arena immediately following the
finals of each event.
15. All prize money can be collected from
the treasury office on site.

18. CAMPING CONDITIONS:- Camping
for competitors and their family only
and will be cross referenced from the
list of nominations for eligibility. No
camping prior to Sunday 4th August.
Camping is free however there is no
power available. As space is limited
please minimize camping area to allow
room for everyone. 19. All vehicles
(including competitors) are to display
a MIRRI Vehicle Pass on the left hand
side dash, near registration sticker.
19. No visitor’s vehicles are permitted in
competitor camping area.
20. Dogs are to be on a leash at all times.
A minimum $150.00 on the spot fine
will be issued if dogs are not secure.
(No exceptions)
21. A ‘No Barking’ rule applies.
22. Noise levels ceased by 10.00pm each
night.
23. No camp fires permitted.
24. All plug in electrical equipment that is
used must have certified test and tag
displayed on them.
25. There will be a separate area for
spectator camping called “Swag City”.

Mt Isa Ground Rules
ROPE & TIE, STEER WRESTLING,
TEAM ROPING and BARREL RACE

Second round draw will be the reverse
of the first go round (except that the 10
fastest times will be held back to the
end of the round). Except for the Barrel
Race these contestants will compete in
the reverse order of their placings in the
first round, i.e. from 10th to 1st.
OPEN & 2ND DIVISION ROUGH STOCK
A maximum of 12 contestants will
qualify for the finals in the open and
second division rough stock events. In
the event where scores are tied which
would make the number of qualifiers
more than 12 then the lowest placed
contestants will be drawn out of the
finals.


MT ISA ENTRIES

Permit members will be eligible to enter the open saddle bronc and bareback
bronc ride however as only a limited number of permit entries may be
accepted you may be drawn out of the contest (all open members are
exempt from being drawn out).
The number of open member’s entries will determine the number of permit
members entries accepted.
Maximum entries Bareback 30, Saddle Bronc 50. E.G. if there are 50 or more
open members entered in the Saddle Bronc event, no permit members entries
will be accepted in that event, likewise if there are 45 open entries only 5
permit entries will be accepted.
Any permit members wishing to enter the open saddle bronc riding and
bareback bronc riding must nominate on the advertised entry dates and can
find out if their entry was successful on Friday 30th July.
Permit entries will be selected by random draw and a number of reserves will
also be identifi ed. (All permit entries will be accepted in the second division
saddle bronc riding and bareback bronc riding).
Qualification Criteria for Open Bull Ride (Open members only, maximum 70 Entries)
Current and former Australian Bull Riding and the current Golden Run
Circuit Bullriding Champions will be exempt from being drawn out. 40% of
the remaining entries will be those highest placed in the current season bull
riding standings as of the 1st July 2013. 50% will be made up of the highest
ranked contestants from the previous season pro tour bull riding standings.
10% randomly drawn from remaining entries. 2nd division Bullride limited to 80
entries. (Random draw)




Penalties and Fines

22.1 Turnout fine of $50 if in performance or slack and you do not notify Central Entry Office or Rodeo Secretary.

22.2 Turnout fine of $10 if in performance and you do notify the Central Entry Office by 5pm the Thursday prior to the Rodeo.

22.3 Turnout in slack and notify the Central Entry Office before 5pm on the Thursday before the Rodeo. No fine.

22.4 All turnouts required to pay entry fees. all fees and fines to be paid prior to competitor being permitted to enter further rodeos.

22.5 Unfinancial Members or Members on the Suspended Members List cannot compete as a Day Members.

22.6 A competitor must have a medical certificate to cancel out of a Rodeo after the closing date for entries. A competitor who cancels on a medical certificate, cannot compete for ten (10) days from the date of the Rodeo from which he cancelled and must supply a medical release.

22.7 Competitors are only allowed 3 medicals and 3 visual turn outs in each Rodeo year.

22.8 When a competitor visually turns out or Medicals out of a Rodeo he only receives his added money back. Committee levy is retained by the committee and administration levy must be paid to head office.
